Here's an editorial I wrote about this organisation:

A child dies. Who cares? 3/7/99
Tyrell Dueck is dead. The name may not mean anything to you, but Tyrell was a Canadian teenager who had cancer. He was "treated" by a pack of parasites called American Biologics (now calling themselves International Bio Care), who hide their disgraceful, murderous behaviour by operating in Mexico. Devoid of any scruples or even a hint of morality or conscience, these bastards will murder children and take the parent's money to do so. Of course, they don't work alone – they are encouraged and assisted by gutless politicians who won't stand up to quackery and by ignorant media commentators who treat these lying vermin as if they had something worthwhile to say. Tyrell's death shows why I need to run this web site, why I insult people and ridicule them and call them names. Expressing disgust and pointing at the horror is sometimes the only thing you can do.

Hey, Peter Bowditch:

Just had your July 3rd editorial sent to me...surprise, surprise...American Biologics name being defamed.

I just wanted to let you know that they saved my sister's life when no one else in this city could. They also helped me through a difficult time in my life when I had a blood disorder two years ago. Although I cannot credit them with my total healing, I can definitely say that without them I would have had no sister. Just one scenario.

I know that they cannot help everyone...there were many there that I got to know who had cancer, mulitple sclerosis, tumors. I continued to correspond with them via email after they left. Some of them died, some of them improved. I particularly remember a lovely, brave lady from England who was being treated for breast cancer metastasized to the liver. About seven months after she went home her partner sent me an email which said she was dying but, in no way would she ever deny that Amer. Biologics had helped her spend a few more months with her infant daughter...and she believed if she had gone to them sooner ( a common complaint) they would have been able to do more than the traditional treatments of chemo and radiation.

I hope this helps to balance out your thinking about them. I think they are doing a great service...more than the traditional docs are here...they are killing us to cure us!!! Be well. Julie Kral

I balanced my thinking about them, and this is the citation they received in the 1999 Millenium Project Awards:

A good example of an egregious alternative medicine site can be seen at International Bio Care. These people used to be called American Biologics, but I guess they had to change their name after they participated in the death of Tyrell Dueck. If you look at the site, you may get the impression that they can cure all sorts of diseases, like cancer, arthritis and chronic fatigue syndrome. They can't. The only thing they can cure for you is wealth. You might have heard of being poorer but wiser. Here you can get poorer but dead.

Thank you for helping me to find the International Bio Hospital site. I have been looking for it so that I can recommend it to some friends. I , unlike yourself, have personal knowledge of the facility and have met and talked with many people who have been helped by these caring, competent people. You ,in your ignorance, do them and other people who might be helped by them ,a great injustice. If you think the AMA is the answer then you are as big a fool as you present yourself to be.
