CCRG Correspondence File – The Statistics

The 44 email addresses and the IP addresses they came from

Mr O'Neill has used many email addresses and keeps saying that I am publishing messages that do not come from him. Because of these claims, I have included the IP address of the computer originating each of the messages I have received. Information about assignments and owners of IP address ranges may be found at WiseTools.

There have been a total of six sources for all the messages, but several of the email addresses were used to send messages from different sources. The first table below describes the six sources, and the second table cross-references email addresses with the sources used by each one

As Google seem to have irrevocably broken the Usenet archive service, links have been disabled. Maybe they will come back some day.

Rogers	The blocks of addresses from 24.103.222.0 to 24.103.223.255, 24.112.0.0 to 24.112.255.255, 66.185.80.0 to 66.185.95.255 and 63.138.0.0 to 63.139.95.255 belong to Rogers, a Canadian provider of cable internet access.
CCRG	The range 209.195.93.128 to 209.195.93.159 has been assigned to a customer of Cyberus Online Inc of Canada using the name CCRG-NET-1. The majority of messages originating here came from 209.195.93.130.
Sympatico	The block 64.228.0.0 to 64.231.255.255 belongs to Bell Nexxia in Canada. It is used by an ISP called Sympatico/Lycos.
WorldLinx	The block 206.47.0.0 to 206.47.255.0 belongs to Bell Sygma in Canada and is used by an ISP called WorldLinx Telecommunications. The address for technical matters and administration for WorldLinx and Bell Sygma is the same as for Sympatico and Bell Nexxia.
Verio	The block 168.143.0.0 to 168.143.255.255 belongs to Verio Inc.
Golden	The block 64.39.160.0 to 64.39.191.255 belongs to Golden Triangle of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada

I hoped it wasn't someone playing a cruel April Fool's joke when I saw this news in the Ottawa Citizen on April 1.

Yes, folks, the beloved William P O'Neill of the Canadian Cancer Research Group and its descendants has gone to the great cesspit in the sky, taking the Gutless Anonymous Liar with him. Sadly, he died quickly and not of cancer. I posted a message to his memorial guest book, but unfortunately some technical glitch prevented it from being published.

I will maintain my own memorial to him here by archiving his correspondence with me and also the wonderful messages he sent wearing his Gutless Anonymous Liar mask. It would be a tragedy for this valuable collection of literature to disappear.
